 | Kichida Gets AHL #1 Pitcher Trophy Monday, August 1st, 2016 There's something about a young rookie winning the August Herrman League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Noriaki Kichida, a 20-year-old starter for the Huntsville Sabercats. In July, he topped off the month with a 5-1 mark and 1.80 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 40 innings, fanned 50 and held opposing teams to a .184 average. In 17 starts this year Kichida has crafted a 12-4 record and a 2.69 ERA. |   |
