Bennett has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Buck O'Neil League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Barrow Frosties third baseman hit at a torrid .667 clip as he collected 8 hits in 12 at-bats, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
This season Bennett has hit at a .357 clip with 20 RBIs, 4 home runs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 47 games. |   |
