 | Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, July 3rd, 2016 Hot tempers flared and a few punches were thrown at the Kingwood and Nichols game yesterday and ended up with two players ejected. Howard Shoemaker of the Knights and Daniel Mills of the Gnats have now been reprimanded and issued 7-game suspensions by the league commissioner for their parts in the fracas. So far in 2016 Shoemaker is batting .256 with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 10 hits in 39 at-bats and a .408 OBP. This year Mills has worked 84.1 innings with 68 strikeouts en route to a 2-9 record and a 5.87 ERA. |   |
