 | Nichols's Phillips Injured, Out of Lineup Monday, June 13th, 2016 After the end of today's game between Nichols and San Angelo, Fred Phillips skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Gnats had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 4-5 months with a bone spur in his elbow. To this point in the season he has had no saves. Phillips has made 8 relief appearances, tossed 2.2 innings and struck out 3 with a record of no wins and no losses. |   |
