 | Bryan Powell Out 5 Months Saturday, June 11th, 2016 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Bryan Powell of the Mustangs knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Kingwood Knights while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn rotator cuff, the San Angelo reliever is expected to miss 5 months. Powell was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
Powell has nailed down 1 save for the year. He has also totaled 26 strikeouts and 10 walks in 19.2 innings while registering a 6.86 ERA and a 0-2 won-lost record. | |
