 | Mata Sticks it to AHL Pitchers Monday, May 30th, 2016 José Carlos Mata demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award. The Huntsville designated hitter wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .455 average (10-22) with 1 home run and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. So far this season Mata has 13 home runs and a .346 batting average. |   |
