Dearborn starter Ronald Appleby tamed the Whitewater Eagles 5-0 with a 4-hit shutout, finishing the game with 10 strikeouts and no walks in a sharp outing.
"I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Appleby said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive."
Checking out his stats for the season, Appleby has notched 4 wins and 2 losses in 10 starts, 1.75 ERA and struck out 77 batters in 67 innings. |   |
