 | Mata Caps Great Week Monday, May 23rd, 2016 José Carlos Mata has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 20-year-old designated hitter of the Huntsville Sabercats had a pretty hot bat in the August Herrman League over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors. Mata batted .417 with 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. So far on the season Mata is hitting .339 with 12 home runs, 37 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
