 | Player of the Week: Huntsville's Vélez Monday, May 9th, 2016 Bernardo Vélez made quite a splash in the August Herrman League this past week. The Huntsville Sabercats left fielder drilled opposing pitchers for 11 hits in 21 at-bats to roll up a .524 batting average and the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award. He also contributed 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored to his club's offensive attack. On the year Vélez has hit .356 with 3 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 21 runs. |   |
