 | Pirates Tovar Out of Action Friday, October 3rd, 2014 Medical officials from the Penzance Pirates reported that the club's 19-year-old reliever, Jorge Tovar, suffered a torn rotator cuff in yesterday's matchup against the Dearborn Pioneers while throwing a pitch. Tovar is expected to miss 10 months of action. Tovar's record this season is 13-and-8 with 2 saves and a 2.59 ERA. He has given up 135 hits in 149.1 innings with 102 strikeouts. |   |
