 | Contreras Earns ACL Player of the Week Monday, July 30th, 2012 So far in his young career, Manuel Contreras has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Alexander Cartwright League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Lake of the Isles Wolves right fielder hit at a torrid .370 clip as he collected 10 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Thus far this season in 72 games Contreras is batting .235 with 13 home runs, 45 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 59 hits in 251 at-bats. |   |
