 | Grand Haven Right Fielder Nets ACL Award Monday, September 12th, 2016 23-year-old Roberto Gómez made a few Grand Haven headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .545 average. Gómez collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Gómez is hitting .333 for the season with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 24 hits in 72 at-bats and played in 28 games. |   |
