 | Sheppard Fires Shutout in Wolverines Win Sunday, September 4th, 2016 Everything clicked on the hill today for Wayne Sheppard of the Wichita Wolverines as he hurled his club to a 4-0 shutout win over the Cincinnati Snaps, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 4 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Snaps manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." In 8 starts this season Sheppard has chalked up a 2-2 record and a 4.96 ERA. |   |
