 | 20-Game Streak Ends, Wood Hitless Thursday, August 25th, 2016 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Alden Wood as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Ninjas. It wasn't all bad for the 23-year-old right fielder and the Asheville Tourists, as they defeated New York 3-0 at McCormick Field. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Wood laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Wood is presently hitting at a .319 pace with 15 home runs, 78 RBIs and has scored 67 times. |   |
