He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 5-0 victory over Carson City. He blanked them on a 3-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 7 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Martínez said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
