 | McCauley Strokes 5 Hits Monday, August 15th, 2016 Brian McCauley exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Coliseum. The Phoenix right fielder had a field day in the 14-10 triumph over the Sandy Springs Spartans, finishing with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, McCauley must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Brian McCauley flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year McCauley is hitting .318 with 22 home runs and 99 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .396 clip and scored 87 runs. |   |
