 | Red Bulls Dunbar Suspended 2 Games Sunday, June 12th, 2016 It got ugly on the field today in the Red Bulls and Wolves game, when John Dunbar was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Dunbar threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate.
League officials thought the Riverside right fielder went too far and gave him a 2-game suspension.
"Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Dunbar told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control."
For the year Dunbar is batting .260 with 54 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 38 times and driven in 20. | |
