 | SP Juan Medina Hurt Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 After the end of today's game between Newark and Anniston, Juan Medina skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Jail Birds had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The starting pitcher will miss at least 4-5 months with a fractured elbow. Presently Medina has a 1-2 mark in 5 starts with a 4.45 ERA. He has given up 26 hits in 30.1 innings, struck out 26 and issued 7 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .239 batting average against him. |   |
