 | Chamberlain on Fire: 5-7 for Anniston Saturday, September 19th, 2015 It was a good day for the Cougars at The Bird Stadium as they clipped the Prussian Marxists 7-5. It was tremendous day for Troy Chamberlain, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 7 barrage. The Anniston first baseman told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well." Troy Chamberlain doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 13th. In this current campaign Chamberlain is hitting at a .252 clip with 1 home run and 23 RBIs. |   |
