 | Spokane's Howard Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, August 31st, 2015 25-year-old Jacob Howard made a few Spokane headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 15 hits in 30 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Howard collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Currently Howard is batting .266 with 74 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 46 runs and scored 30 times. |   |
