 | Wichita's Herrera to Miss 7 Months Thursday, May 7th, 2015 Edgardo Herrera at first refused to leave today's New York-Wichita game after he suffered a fractured elbow while colliding with a player at a base. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Wichita second baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Herrera out of action for 7 months. So far this year, Herrera is batting .250 with no home runs and 2 RBIs. |   |
