 | Jacksonville's Barnes Chosen ACL Batter of the Month Friday, August 1st, 2014 Jonathan Barnes put together a good July to earn the Alexander Cartwright League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Jacksonville officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Hellcats first baseman posted a .352 batting average with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 24 runs scored. This season Barnes has delivered 58 hits in 158 at-bats for a .367 average with 7 home runs.
