 | Pueblo Stops Anniston Cold Thursday, July 24th, 2014 The Anniston Cougars struggled at the plate today against Hellcats hurler Lorenzo Pueblo, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete game 4-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Cougars skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Pueblo finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Lorenzo made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
In 21 starts this season Pueblo has compiled a 9-5 record and a 3.42 ERA. |   |
