 | Great Week for Riverside's Paul Murphy Monday, July 14th, 2014 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Paul Murphy of the Riverside Red Bulls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Murphy rocked opposing pitching for a .440 average (11-25), no home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season Murphy is currently batting .328 with 7 home runs and 57 RBIs. In 84 games he has reached base at a .421 rate and scored 53 runs to date. |   |
