 | Spartans Bailey Suffers Injury Sunday, September 29th, 2013 "I'm frustrated right now," said Sandy Springs closer John Bailey. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Spartans, that's where he will be spending 13 months. Bailey suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in today's game against Cincinnati while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." This year Bailey has made 46 relief appearances and saved 18. His record is 3-1 with 68 strikeouts in 52.1 innings and a 2.58 ERA. |   |
