 | Grand Haven First Baseman Picked ACL Player of the Week Monday, April 29th, 2013 24-year-old Josh Hays made a few Grand Haven headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Hays collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Hays is hitting .360 for the season with 6 home runs, 30 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 86 at-bats and played in 24 games. |   |
