 | García, Allen Receive 8-Game Suspensions Friday, April 26th, 2013 New York's Martín García and San Antonio's John Allen have been handed 8-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Confucius Field. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner García and Allen provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. García is presently hitting at a .350 pace with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and has scored 18 times. This season Allen has made 5 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark and a 2.25 ERA. In pitching 4 innings, he has totaled 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. |   |
