This promising rookie left fielder for Birmingham garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .526 (10-19) with 1 home run and 9 RBIs last week. This year Pérez is batting .292 with 134 hits and 10 home runs.
