 | Torres Scorches Aeropostales for 3 HR Saturday, October 8th, 2016 Alfredo Torres ripped three home runs today against Indian Wells Aeropostales. It was a terrific day for him, but a bad day at the ballpark for the Bristol City Smugglers, who dropped a 11-8 decision. For the day he collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at Stars Field." "He was instant offense today," the Bristol City skipper said. "Alfredo really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." Alfredo Torres hit a solo-shot off Daniel Díaz in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Díaz in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Roméo Bourgeois in the 7th and walked in the 8th. So far this year Torres is batting .359 with 26 home runs, 72 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |   |
