 | Green on Fire: 5-5 for Bronx Sunday, September 18th, 2016 It was a big day with the bat for Michael Green of the Bronx Bombers at The Bell as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Philadelphia 14-1. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Green had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Bombers had won. Michael Green hit a two-run double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. Thus far in 2016 Green is hitting .235 with no home runs, 5 RBIs, 4 runs scored and has compiled a .333 OBP. |   |
