 | Stingrays Kono Suffers 3-Game Suspension Monday, September 12th, 2016 St. John Stingrays right fielder Mokichi Kono was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Indian Wells Aeropostales. "I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Kono said. He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes. After his ejection, Kono went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed." So far this season Kono is batting .423 with 1 home run. |   |
