 | Evans Takes Home BCL Top Batter Award Thursday, September 1st, 2016 George Evans is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Astoria right fielder joined that select company when the Blake Camden League announced the results of August's voting. Evans totaled 36 hits, 12 walks, 14 home runs, 36 RBIs and 22 runs scored last month to put together a .330 batting average and .390 on-base percentage. Presently Evans is hitting .288 with 35 home runs and 93 RBIs. He has played in 104 games and scored 71 times. |   |
