 | Torres Goes 5-5 Against Durham Friday, August 12th, 2016 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Alfredo Torres got one today. He scattered hits all over Durham Bulls Athletic Park to pace Bristol City to a 12-1 victory over Durham. The Durham skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Torres hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Alfredo Torres hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ronald Lee in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off António Rodríguez in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Torres is batting .312 with 34 hits, 7 home runs, 24 RBIs, .462 OBP and has scored 30 runs. |   |
