 | Hayes Wins BCL Best Player Award Monday, August 8th, 2016 23-year-old Bob Hayes made a few Springfield headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .545 average. Hayes collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 7 runs. During the current season Hayes is batting at a .323 clip with 9 home runs and 64 RBIs. He has played in 102 games and scored 58 times. |   |
