 | Cook Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Coal Miners Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 Fans seated in the bleacher section at The Coal Mine were taking cover all day long as Alfred Cook took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Pasadena's 12-8 triumph over the Antioch Coal Miners, the center fielder's name will soon be added into the record books. He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, batted in 7 and scored 3 runs. Alfred Cook flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alain Laurent in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Tony Pérez in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Al Burton in the 8th. Presently Cook is batting .266 and has collected 11 home runs, 35 RBIs, .295 OBP and scored 21 runs. |   |
