 | No Hits for Evans, Streak Ends at 20 Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 George Evans of the Astoria Argonauts came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 20-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Astoria dropped the game to the Reno Raiders 5-3. In a postgame comment Evans told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." For the season Evans is batting .289 with 46 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 18 times and batted in 27. |   |
