 | Evans Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, June 12th, 2016 It has been quite a while since somebody stopped George Evans without a hit in a game. The Freeze couldn't do it in today's game at The Ice Box. The Astoria Argonauts right fielder banged out 2 hits and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 6-3 victory. George Evans flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Pedro González in the 8th. This year Evans is hitting .297, produced 27 RBIs and 10 home runs, scored 18 times and gotten on base at a .335 rate. |   |
