 | Week's Premier Performer Honored by BCL Monday, June 6th, 2016 25-year-old Alberto Gonzáles made a few Philadelphia headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .538 average. Gonzáles collected 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Thus far this season Gonzáles is hitting .295 with 12 home runs, 34 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 65 hits in 220 at-bats and has played in 51 games. |   |
