 | May's Starter of the Month Goes to Wills Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 There's something about a young rookie winning the Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Buddy Wills, a 24-year-old starter for the Reno Raiders. In May, he topped off the month with a 4-1 mark and 3.69 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 39 innings, fanned 36 and held opposing teams to a .268 average. This year Wills has recorded a 6-3 mark. In 11 starts he has fanned 50 batters in 67 innings with a 4.97 ERA. |   |
