 | 3 Boomers for García Friday, May 8th, 2015 El Paso third baseman Daniel García sensed he was going to have a good game at the plate, but he underestimated just a little bit. Prior to the game, García predicted he would hit a home run against the Fort Worth Cats.
During batting practice he told his teammates, "I really got my swing down pat. I feel some thunder in the lumber. I'm gonna get me a home run in this game." He was right. He did hit a home run -- three of them, in fact -- pacing the Diablos over the Cats 7-4.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," García told reporters after the game.
To go along with the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
Daniel García hit a solo-shot off Tom Chandler in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tom Chandler in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bill Pritchard in the 9th. | |
