 | Hoover Week's #1 Player Monday, May 4th, 2015 24-year-old Bill Hoover made a few St. John headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Hoover collected no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Hoover is presently hitting at a .360 pace with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 21 times. |   |
