 | Bader and Ramsey Fight, Suspended 5 Games Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 The action was hot and heavy at a recent Bristol City-Fort Worth game at Ashton Gate in more ways than one. When tempers flared, both benches emptied and a mild melee ensued. The only thing hurt was a few players' pride. Two of the main figures in the brawl were suspended today by league officials. The Smugglers Steve Bader and Fort Worth's Larry Ramsey will each miss 5 games for their roles in the fight. "We do not condone this kind of behavior on the field," the league announcement read. "As such, we believe that this punishment fits the actions taken by these two players. We hope that there will not be a repeat of the incident or else the consequences will be even more severe." Thus far this year Bader has hit .244 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. So far this season Ramsey has no saves in 6 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 4.50 ERA. |   |
