 | Freeze Chill McConnell's Hot Streak Friday, September 26th, 2014 Kevin McConnell of the Astoria Argonauts came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 20-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Astoria dropped the game to the Minneapolis Freeze 9-2. In a postgame comment McConnell told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." To date this year McConnell is batting .298 with 31 home runs. |   |
