The 30-year-old reliever was hurt while throwing a pitch and will miss 10 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Taking a look at his season, Vázquez has made 42 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 1-0 won-lost mark and a 3.59 ERA.
