 | Owens BCL Winner, Top Hurler in July Thursday, August 1st, 2013 There's something about a young rookie winning the Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Ryan Owens, a 24-year-old starter for the Reno Raiders. In July, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 2.20 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 32.2 innings, fanned 29 and held opposing teams to a .264 average. So far in 22 appearances this season, Owens has recorded 12 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 151.1 innings, yielded 144 hits, fanned 118 and has a 3.27 ERA. |   |
