 | More Woes For Jacks Joe MacKnight Tuesday, September 18th, 2012 "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Jacks clubhouse today as it was learned that second baseman Joe MacKnight will be out for an added 4 days as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for knee inflammation will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Jacksonville second baseman told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Joe gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer. This season MacKnight has hit at a .244 clip and produced 42 RBI, 10 home runs and 52 runs. |   |
