 | Matt Messer Sidelined for 4 Months Sunday, October 9th, 2016 Whether he wants it or not, Matt Messer of the Las Vegas Jokers will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The reliever was hurt in today's Jokers-Toreros game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Messer had suffered shoulder inflammation and would be out of action for 4 months. For the season Messer has made 58 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 5-0 won-lost mark and a 2.41 ERA. In pitching 82 innings, he has totaled 58 strikeouts and 26 walks. |   |
