 | Davis Bashes 3 HR for Washington Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Nate Davis did today at The Battlefield. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the Washington Capitalists 7-1 win over South Bend. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Davis said. "Good things happen, when that happens." He blistered the Shamrocks for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times. The South Bend skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today." Nate Davis hit a solo-shot off James Morris in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off James Morris in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Quincy Green in the 9th. In his season totals, Davis has 6 home runs, .233 BA, .342 OBP, 29 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 61 games. |   |
