 | Griffith Blitzes South Carolina Friday, July 22nd, 2016 Before the game Edward Griffith liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Toreros pitcher whitewashed the South Carolina Bombers 13-0.
Griffith said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Cabo San Lucas starter held South Carolina scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Bombers manager said in his postgame interview.
"When that happens, you usually lose."
