 | Bandits-Capitalists Trade: Pérez for Gonzáles Tuesday, July 12th, 2016 The Montreal Bandits and Washington Capitalists have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Montreal will part with 35-year-old starting pitcher Raúl Pérez, while the Capitalists have dealt 20-year-old minor league second baseman Tomás Gonzáles and 23-year-old minor league reliever Ed Lott. "This one took a while to figure out," said the Montreal general manager. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs."
To date this year Pérez has compiled a 8-7 mark with a 4.79 ERA in 17 starts.
So far on the season Gonzáles is hitting .167 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 7 hits and played in 12 games. | |
